NPG Onahole Lines Explained: What the Meiki Numbers Actually Mean

Short version: the number on an NPG box is a slot in a series, not a score. File 013 is not better than File 005, and ZERO is not the beginner model.

NPG's naming is the most confusing part of buying an NPG onahole in Canada. One brand ships boxes reading Meiki no Syoumei File 005, Shin 004, ZERO, Sousei 2, Kakusei, Eiyo no Meiki 2, Kanjuku and Onizara — some separate lines, some rebuilds of the same line, none of them stating weight or layer count.

This page decodes the lines we stock, using the weights, layer counts and CAD prices on our own listings. If you have never owned one at all, start with what an onahole is.

Why NPG's Meiki numbers look like serial numbers

NPG is short for Nippori Gift, the Japanese company behind the brand. Its flagship line is Meiki no Syoumei — "proof of a masterpiece" — and every File number is one actress, one mold, one slot in that series.

Two facts on our own product pages show the digits are not a ranking. ZERO exists because NPG rebooted the line after File 012, tuned softer than the late numbered files. And Shin means "new" — Shin 004 is a rebuilt Fujimori Riho file, not the fourth model of a better series. A higher digit does not mean more layers or more weight: File 013 is 800 g and triple-layer, File 014 is 850 g and only dual-layer.

Meiki no Syoumei File: what 005 through ZERO change

File 005 (ZXY) is the reference: 800 g, dual-layer, one canal, 165 × 100 × 95 mm, CA$136.49. Three tightening stages, and a double-lip entrance that holds lube better than a plain opening. The entry is deliberately accommodating — endurance design, and a deliberate trade against intensity at the opening. See our full 3-way comparison.

File 013 is where the material changes: still 800 g and one canal, but triple-layer, 185 × 100 × 92 mm, CA$143.31, with Tanaka Lemon's autograph molded into the sleeve. You pay about CA$7 over the 005 for the third layer.

File 014 goes the other way: 850 g, dual-layer TPE, two canals, 184 × 86 × 125 mm, CA$143.31, with an extended anal tunnel that stays tight to full depth.

File 015 stacks both upgrades — 915 g, triple-layer, two canals, suction-cup texturing — at the same CA$143.31 as 013 and 014. On material, the strongest value in the numbered files.

The File 015 Powered is a different product wearing a similar name: 1,600 g, double-layer, rechargeable pump for rhythmic vacuum, CA$239.99. It cannot go in the sink.

ZERO restarts the line at 800 g with NPG's funya-kori softness — marshmallow give, a softer inner canal than the late numbered files, 190 × 90 × 105 mm, CA$136.49. It is not the cheap starter model. It is the reset.

The ladder that matters is single canal to dual canal, and dual-layer to triple-layer. The digit is the actress's seat number.

Shin, Sousei, Kakusei, Eiyo and Kanjuku: the rest of the catalogue

Shin 004 is the clearest rebuild: 800 g, triple-layer, two closed-end canals, 185 × 110 × 80 mm, CA$143.31. If you wanted a numbered file with both holes and three layers, NPG already made that compromise.

Sousei 2 is the heavyweight branch — 1,700 g, dual-layer TPE, six zones, closed end, CA$178.49. The weight keeps it planted and makes it awkward to rinse one-handed.

Kakusei means "Awakening of the Masterpiece" and is the light branch. Niko Kawagoe is 460 g, firm outer skin over soft jelly, tapered tip, CA$89.99 — squeeze it and internal pressure rises instead of the wall collapsing. Koiki Nagisa is the same series and price, tuned softer. Kawagoe for tightness, Nagisa for give.

Eiyo no Meiki means "Honor Meiki" and is a separate line, not a tier: Eiyo chases dual-hole bodies with triple-layer walls, while Meiki no Syoumei leans single-canal with heavier texture zoning.

Arina Hashimoto is the exception — 960 g, triple-layer, single canal, 195 × 125 × 100 mm, CA$143.31. Hinako Mori 2 is the dual-hole reading: 912 g, spiral vaginal tunnel, anal tunnel packed with contraction nodes, CA$143.31.

Kanjuku means "fully ripe" — the mature-genre line. JULIA is 965 g, triple-layer, two canals, CA$143.31. Onizara is the hand-held sleeve line instead: Rika Tsubaki is triple-layer, closed end, CA$129.99, and grip pressure is the intensity control.

Which NPG to buy first, by situation

Buying by name is how people end up with a 1.7 kg sleeve and a bathroom they cannot use it in. Buy by situation.

• Never owned one: AV Mini Ichika Matsumoto, CA$26.24 and 270 g — cheap to learn cleaning on.
• First real meiki on a budget: Kakusei Niko Kawagoe at CA$89.99. 460 g is light for long sessions.
• Want the benchmark mold: File 005 at CA$136.49 — loose entrance included.
• Most material per dollar: File 015 at CA$143.31 — 915 g, three layers, two canals.
• Want weight: Sousei 2 at CA$178.49. Nothing else in the line feels like it.
• Want powered suction: File 015 Powered at CA$239.99, cloth-cleaning only.

What NPG gets wrong

The pricing is flat, not graduated. CA$143.31 buys File 013 at 800 g with three layers and one canal, File 014 at 850 g with two layers and two canals, and Kanjuku JULIA at 965 g with three layers and two canals. Same money, 165 g and a full canal apart. NPG is not pricing by material, so you have to.

The naming invites the wrong purchase. ZERO sounds like a starter, Shin like an upgrade, Kakusei like a premium tier. Only one is close to true; the rest describe a mold's history, not its quality.

Triple-layer is tuned for sensation, not lifespan. Softer, more responsive layers trade durability for feel, which our breakdown of NPG's triple-layer engineering covers. Separately, NPG owners report softening after a few months of regular use — anecdote, not measurement.

Add the maintenance tax: every dual-hole closed-end model traps water at the tip, so you need a drying stick, and the powered 015 cannot be rinsed at all.

Frequently asked questions

What does "Meiki no Syoumei" actually mean?

"Proof of a masterpiece." The File number is a slot in the series — one actress, one mold — not a quality ranking. NPG restarted the numbering at ZERO after File 012, the clearest sign the digits are chronological, not hierarchical.

Is Shin better than the numbered File series?

No. Shin means "new": a rebuilt version of an existing file. Shin 004 is an 800 g, triple-layer, dual-hole rebuild of the Fujimori Riho mold — a different construction, not an improved edition of every other file.

What is the difference between Meiki no Syoumei and Eiyo no Meiki?

Separate lines. Eiyo no Meiki ("Honor Meiki") is built around dual-hole bodies with triple-layer walls; Meiki no Syoumei is mostly single-canal and puts the engineering into texture zoning. The Arina Hashimoto model is the one Eiyo body that runs a single canal.

Which NPG onahole is the softest?

ZERO, in the numbered line — NPG calls the material funya-kori, a marshmallow give with an even softer inner canal. Outside that line, Koiki Nagisa is the softer Awakening mold, and the AV Mini is the softest thing NPG makes at 270 g.

Is File 015 worth CA$143.31?

On material, yes: 915 g, three layers, two canals, at the same price as the 800 g single-canal File 013. The cost is handling and drying — two closed-end canals take longer than one.

How do you clean a dual-hole NPG?

Rinse each canal separately with lukewarm water and mild soap or toy cleaner, shake out the excess, wick the closed tips with a drying stick, and air-dry fully before storage.
